The story is not static and does not exist anywhere but in your mind. It is ultimately your responsibility and totally within your power to examine your life carefully, as I have in writing this autobiography and find an immense love, gratitude and appreciation for all things.

So, while reading my story, or after you have finished, I highly recommend you write your story. And, like a good writer, whether you include the background of all the characters or not, you imagine it. You consider the story from the point of view of everybody in it and not just your own. You may or not may be ‘right’ about how other people were feeling or perceiving things. But your wish to understand them will bear the fruit of love.

Through this may you realise, as I have, that everyone wants to be happy, no one wants to suffer, and everyone is doing their best all the time. Every given moment every living being is employing all the wisdom it possesses in search of great peace.

While I have had many profound realisations. In the writing of this book you’ll see what is most important. Cherishing others. When looking carefully you’ll find the ‘story of your life’, and all its characters are born of a great mystery. The mystery called life. Of the limitless possibilities, this is what’s eventuated.

Everything that’s taking place inside you, outside you, inside and outside everybody else is but a single movement of the Universe. Everything has countless causes, to the very beginning. And so in writing this I am blessed with the wisdom of realising dependent relationship and recall the words of Thich Nhat Hanh as I write this now, though I am paraphrasing. “When a meditator looks at a flower, they see the sun, the rain, the Earth. They see the seed and all the other flowers before it. The whole Universe is contained within the flower. The flower contains everything but is empty of one thing: independent existence”.
